Fredericton! A land of Beauty, a land of Tropical Cheddar.
As we left Ontario things abruptly turned into french, and as soon as we were through Montreal the hills started to grow into scenery so gorgeous it would make postcards shudder and die of shame. After a 15 hour trip we had arrived in Fredericton. The venue smelled of urinal pucks and broken dreams. After the load in and some disappointment in the venues choice of p.a. speakers it began.
Soundcheck, and show time.
Now, we have gotten a lot of flak from people to get ourselves a drummer... Well last night Ethan Mosely (the vocalist from Promonium Jesters) rocked out on drums with us for the first time live. I must say it was one of the best performances we've had, that being said, also the worst turn out I've ever seen. Any and all people we had encountered either had their collar popped all the way up to their gel saturated hair or were drunk club girl cookie cutter types. Subsequently, they diverted directly upstairs to listen to the acoustic cover band.
On the up side I'm sure when we started playing we drowned out any and all music upstairs effectively throwing a wrench into the works of three bachelorette parties and at least two birthdays. and Promonium was even louder than us.
All in all it was an awesome experience, there's nothing like blasting an all out assault on the senses of some unsuspecting preps who haven't seemed to mature since highschool.
I guess it made us play harder.
